ABC Arizona Flare Unlicensed Thin Italic

ABC Arizona Flare is an integral component of the expansive Arizona superfamily, designed by Elias Hanzer and released through the Swiss type foundry ABC Dinamo. This specific variant, the Thin Italic, represents a conceptual bridge between the austerity of a sans-serif and the decorative qualities of a serif. The 'Flare' style is characterized by its subtly widening terminals, which provide a calligraphic elegance and a sense of movement without the use of traditional serifs.

The Thin Italic weight is particularly notable for its delicate, rhythmic posture, making it a favorite for high-fashion editorial layouts and sophisticated branding projects. As the first superfamily to transition across five different formal archetypes—Sans, Flare, Mix, Serif, and Text—ABC Arizona allows designers to maintain a consistent skeletal structure while varying the aesthetic tone. This Unlicensed version is typically utilized for trial purposes, offering a glimpse into its refined legibility and modern Swiss craftsmanship.
