Acta Display Black Black

Acta Display Black is a prominent member of the expansive Acta superfamily, originally conceived by Portuguese designer Dino dos Santos in 2010. Developed initially for the Chilean newspaper La Tercera, the typeface was designed to be highly versatile, offering a sophisticated editorial feel that balances contemporary sharpness with classic proportions. The Display variants are specifically optimized for large-scale use, featuring high stroke contrast and elegant terminals that provide a sharp, polished appearance.

This specific weight, Black, provides a powerful and authoritative presence on the page. It excels in high-end magazine layouts and luxury branding where visual impact is paramount. With its refined serifs and dramatic transitions between thick and thin strokes, Acta Display Black serves as a masterclass in modern editorial typography, bridging the gap between traditional newsprint aesthetics and modern digital clarity.
