Amped Regular

Amped Regular emerged from the alternative design movement of the early 21st century, heavily influenced by the gritty, low-fidelity aesthetics of DIY punk culture and extreme sports media. Created by the designer known as Jaynz, the typeface captures a sense of raw kinetic energy, intentionally moving away from the sterile perfection of modern digital vector paths to embrace organic texture and industrial imperfection.

Technically, Amped Regular is a high-impact display face characterized by its heavily distressed contours and substantial stroke weight. The letterforms utilize a generous x-height and consistent internal spacing, which serves to preserve character recognition at medium display sizes despite the significant erosion of the edges. The counters are relatively tight, enhancing the typeface's aggressive visual presence and making it an ideal candidate for high-contrast, urban-themed environmental graphics and bold title sequences.
