Artico Expanded Heavy Italic

Artico Expanded Heavy Italic is a striking member of the Artico typeface family, meticulously crafted by Irish designer Paulo Goode. This specific variant combines the geometric precision of early 20th-century sans-serifs with a modern, wide-set aesthetic that commands attention. The expanded proportions and heavy weight provide a powerful visual weight, making it an ideal choice for high-impact displays and contemporary design projects that require a sense of stability and motion.

As part of a comprehensive font family, the Artico project was designed to bridge the gap between classic Swiss minimalism and expressive digital typography. The heavy italic version is particularly refined, featuring carefully balanced slants that maintain legibility even at large scales. It has become a popular choice among brand designers and editorial art directors who seek a typeface that feels both timeless and aggressively modern in its application across digital and print media.
