Astoria Extra Bold Italic ☞

Astoria Extra Bold Italic is a striking high-contrast sans-serif designed by Silas Dilworth of TypeTrust. It draws its primary inspiration from the bold, expressive wood types and 'Antique' lettering styles of the 19th century, reimagining them for a contemporary digital environment. This typeface bridges the gap between vintage commercial charm and modern typographic precision, making it a versatile choice for designers looking to infuse their work with a distinct personality.

The Extra Bold Italic weight is particularly noteworthy for its aggressive slant and heavy stroke weights, which create a powerful sense of forward motion and high visual impact. It is meticulously crafted to maintain legibility despite its extreme contrast, making it an excellent selection for editorial design, high-end packaging, and large-scale environmental graphics where a strong, authoritative visual statement is required.
