Balloon Regular

Balloon Regular was designed by Max R. Kaufmann in 1939 for the American Type Founders (ATF). It was originally created to compete with the popular Speedball-style hand lettering used in commercial advertisements and showcards. The typeface captures the essence of informal, hand-drawn brush lettering, featuring bold, sans-serif characters that look as if they were quickly executed with a heavy felt-tip marker or a square-edged brush.
