Beatrice Deck Bold

Beatrice Deck Bold is a revolutionary typeface designed by Lucas Sharp and the team at Sharp Type. It represents a unique exploration of "internal contrast," a design methodology that applies the logic of high-contrast serif faces to a sans-serif skeleton. The Deck optical size is specifically tailored for medium-scale applications, such as subheaders and short blocks of text, providing a more robust weight and adjusted spacing compared to its Display counterpart.

The family draws inspiration from various historical sources while maintaining a strictly contemporary, avant-garde aesthetic. The Bold weight of the Deck sub-family provides a powerful typographic presence that is both technically precise and full of humanist character. This font has become a favorite among high-end fashion brands and editorial designers who require a typeface that balances legibility with a strong, artistic statement.
