Blacker Display Medium Italic

Blacker Display Medium Italic is a distinguished member of the Blacker family, a wedge serif typeface designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini and Andrea Tartarelli, with art direction by Francesco Canovaro for Zetafonts. This typeface was developed as an homage to the 'evil serif' genre, characterized by high contrast and sharp triangular serifs that defined the aesthetic of 1970s editorial design. The Display version is specifically optimized for large-scale use, featuring tighter spacing and more pronounced transitions to maximize visual impact in headlines.

The Medium Italic weight offers a perfect synthesis of aggressive sharpness and fluid elegance. Its sloped letterforms retain the signature wedge serifs while introducing a sophisticated calligraphic rhythm that is ideal for high-fashion branding and luxury layouts. By blending historical Latin typeface characteristics with contemporary proportions, Blacker Display Medium Italic serves as a versatile tool for designers aiming to convey both authority and modern style in editorial environments.
