Blackguard Regular

Blackguard Regular is a striking modern blackletter typeface that bridges the gap between traditional medieval calligraphy and contemporary graphic design aesthetics. Created by the prolific Swedish type designer Mans Greback, this font is characterized by its sharp, aggressive strokes and a powerful vertical presence that commands attention in any visual hierarchy. It retains the structural complexity of historic gothic scripts while being optimized for modern digital rendering.

The typeface features a tall x-height and meticulously balanced negative space, making it surprisingly legible for a decorative blackletter style. It is frequently employed in high-impact industries such as streetwear branding, heavy metal music promotion, and fantasy-themed gaming interfaces. Its bold weight and intricate details ensure that it stands out in both print and digital environments, offering a sense of strength and rebellion.
