Blackout Midnight Regular

Blackout Midnight is a high-impact, geometric typeface created by designer Tyler Finck. This specific variant is characterized by its solid, filled-in counters, creating a massive, blocky aesthetic that consumes negative space. It was inspired by the act of filling in the holes of newspaper headlines with a thick marker, resulting in a bold, stencil-influenced look that is perfect for loud, attention-grabbing displays.

Since its release, the font has become a favorite for designers looking to evoke a sense of strength and industrial grit. Its ultra-heavy weight and lack of internal negative space make it ideal for overlaying textures or using in high-contrast compositions. It is widely recognized in the creative community for its unapologetic boldness and modern, sans-serif construction that pushes the boundaries of legibility for artistic effect.
