Bureau Eagle FB Bold

Bureau Eagle FB Bold is a powerful, square-shouldered sans-serif typeface designed by David Berlow for the Font Bureau. It draws heavy inspiration from the bold, industrial wood type styles of the 19th century and the later work of Morris Fuller Benton, specifically the 'Eagle' series designed for the American Type Founders. The font is characterized by its massive, authoritative presence and rigid geometric structure, making it a staple for high-impact display typography.

Originally developed for editorial use in magazines and newspapers, this bold weight excels in environments where space is tight but the message needs to be loud. Its uncompromisingly strong verticality and slight rounding of corners give it a modern yet nostalgic feel. Whether used in sports branding or editorial headlines, Bureau Eagle FB Bold remains one of the most versatile choices for designers seeking a balance between mechanical precision and vintage American character.
