Calps Sans Bold Italic

Calps Sans Bold Italic is a contemporary geometric sans-serif typeface that exemplifies modern structural precision. Designed by Kazuhiro Akiyama, this font family is characterized by its high x-height and clean, open counters, which ensure exceptional readability across both high-resolution print and digital screens. The Bold Italic variant specifically introduces a dynamic, forward-slanting energy that provides a sophisticated contrast to the upright weights, making it ideal for creating visual hierarchy.

Historically, the Calps family was developed to bridge the gap between mechanical neo-grotesques and humanist forms. Its Bold Italic weight is particularly praised for its ability to maintain legibility even at smaller point sizes, while its robust stroke thickness commands attention in larger formats. It has become a staple for designers looking for a versatile typeface that feels both professional and approachable, suitable for a wide array of international branding projects.
