Catamaran Semi Bold

Catamaran Semi Bold is a distinguished humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Chennai-based type designer Pria Ravichandran. Originally developed as a versatile Unicode font family for Latin and Tamil scripts, the design strikes a unique balance between modern geometric precision and the rhythmic flow of traditional calligraphy. The Semi Bold weight specifically offers a robust and authoritative presence without sacrificing the airy legibility that defines the entire Catamaran family.

Since its release, Catamaran has become a staple in digital typography due to its clean lines and wide range of weights. It was crafted to perform exceptionally well on high-resolution screens, featuring open apertures and a generous x-height that ensures clarity in both headlines and UI elements. As an open-source project, it continues to be a top choice for developers and designers seeking a professional, multilingual solution for contemporary web and mobile applications.
