Cigar Normal

Cigar Normal is a distinctive display typeface characterized by its heavy, rounded letterforms and strong vintage aesthetic. Originally designed by Fumio Tamura, this font captures the essence of mid-century advertising and bold signage. Its thick strokes and softened terminals make it an ideal choice for high-impact visual communication that requires a touch of nostalgia while maintaining excellent legibility at large sizes.

Over the decades, Cigar has become a favorite among graphic designers for branding projects that demand a friendly yet authoritative presence. Whether used in packaging, logo design, or editorial headlines, its unique silhouette stands out against contemporary minimalist trends. The font’s robust structure ensures it remains impactful across both print and digital mediums, making it a timeless addition to any creative toolkit seeking a retro flair.
