Colonna MT Std Regular

Colonna MT is an elegant, inline display typeface originally designed by the Monotype Corporation in 1926. It was initially created as an advertising face, drawing inspiration from classical Roman letterforms but with a distinct split-line or "inline" effect that gives it a sophisticated, architectural feel. The design features high contrast and sharp serifs, making it particularly effective for high-end branding and formal invitations.

Over the decades, this typeface has maintained its status as a timeless choice for titling and headers. Its unique aesthetic balances traditional calligraphic roots with a modern, decorative flair. Because of its intricate inline detail, Colonna MT Std Regular is most effective at larger point sizes where the delicate white lines within the strokes can be clearly seen, providing a sense of luxury and refinement to any typographic layout.
