Copperplate Std 32 AB Regular

Copperplate Std 32 AB Regular is a classic typeface originally designed by Frederic W. Goudy in 1901 for the American Type Founders (ATF). Despite being classified as a serif font, its serifs are minimal, sharp wedge shapes that give it a distinct, sturdy appearance. A defining characteristic of the Copperplate family is that it lacks lowercase letters, instead utilizing a system of small capitals which makes it exceptionally suited for formal and professional display purposes.

The font was initially intended for use in fine stationery, business cards, and corporate letterheads, often associated with the late Victorian and early 20th-century aesthetic. Over the years, the 32 AB Regular weight has become a global standard for luxury branding, law firms, and financial institutions. Its horizontal emphasis and clean lines provide an atmosphere of authority, stability, and timeless elegance that remains popular in modern graphic design.
