Copperplate Std 33 BC Regular

Copperplate Std 33 BC Regular is a distinguished member of the Copperplate Gothic family, originally designed by Frederic W. Goudy in 1901 for American Type Founders. While categorized as a Gothic typeface, it is unique for its minuscule, razor-sharp serifs that emulate the look of letters engraved into copper plates. This specific variant, 33 BC, represents a specific weight and style within the broader digital collection, maintaining the classic all-caps aesthetic that characterizes the entire family.

Throughout the 20th century, this typeface became the gold standard for professional stationery, business cards, and corporate branding for banks and law firms. Its sturdy, wide proportions and elegant horizontal stress convey a sense of permanence and reliability. The digital standard version ensures high-quality rendering across modern publishing platforms while preserving the historical integrity of Goudy's original vision.
