Cubano Regular is a powerhouse display font designed by Chandler Van Deelen and released through the Lost Type Co-op. Characterized by its heavy strokes, wide stance, and signature rounded corners, the typeface strikes a unique balance between industrial strength and friendly accessibility. Its bold presence makes it an instant favorite for designers looking to convey stability and confidence without appearing overly aggressive or rigid.
The history of Cubano is rooted in the modern desire for geometric sans-serifs that possess personality. While many bold fonts rely on sharp angles, Cubano's soft edges allow it to feel organic and approachable. Over the years, it has become a staple in the design community for everything from artisanal food packaging to high-energy sports branding, proving its versatility across both digital and print mediums.
