Depot Light

Depot Light was designed by Chris Dickinson and released through the TypeTrust foundry. It is a key member of the broader Depot typeface family, which draws significant inspiration from the iconic typography of the London Underground and early 20th-century humanist sans-serifs. The design philosophy behind Depot focuses on openness and clarity, ensuring that even the thinner weights maintain exceptional legibility across various media.

The Light weight specifically provides an elegant, airy aesthetic that is ideal for modern minimalist designs and high-end editorial layouts. By successfully bridging the gap between rigid mechanical structures and the warmth of humanist calligraphic traits, Depot Light offers a professional and sophisticated appearance that avoids the coldness often associated with geometric sans-serif fonts.
