Domaine Display Extrabold Regular

Domaine Display Extrabold Regular is a masterclass in high-contrast serif design, created by the renowned Kris Sowersby of Klim Type Foundry. Released in 2013, the Domaine family was born from a project for the French magazine 'Le Monde,' drawing deep inspiration from the 19th-century Latin types and the elegant portfolio of Deberny & Peignot. It bridges the gap between historical elegance and contemporary precision, offering a lush, curvaceous aesthetic that is both timeless and strikingly modern.

The Extrabold weight specifically emphasizes the dramatic tension between its thick vertical strokes and razor-thin hairlines. This weight is engineered for large-scale application where its intricate details and sharp terminals can shine. It belongs to a larger superfamily that includes text and sans-serif variations, making it a versatile cornerstone for designers looking to convey luxury, authority, and high-fashion sophistication in their typographic palettes.
