Domaine Display Nrw Black Italic

Domaine Display was designed by Kris Sowersby of the Klim Type Foundry and released in 2013. The project originated from an exploration of the Latin typeface style, specifically inspired by 19th-century designs like De Vinne and various Scotch Romans. It is part of a larger superfamily that bridges the gap between traditional serif structures and contemporary display requirements, offering an elegant, high-contrast aesthetic.

The Narrow Black Italic variant is specifically engineered for large-scale use where space might be limited but impact is essential. It features sharp, refined serifs and a dramatic stroke contrast that is synonymous with luxury and sophistication. The italic forms are particularly expressive, incorporating fluid, calligraphic flourishes that make it a favorite for high-end editorial design, fashion branding, and premium packaging.
