Domaine Text Light Italic

Domaine Text Light Italic is a sophisticated serif typeface designed by Kris Sowersby of the Klim Type Foundry. It was developed as a more robust counterpart to the high-contrast Domaine Display, specifically optimized for smaller point sizes and body copy. Drawing inspiration from the Latin and French serif traditions, this font maintains a contemporary feel while honoring classical typographic elegance.

The Light Italic weight provides a graceful and rhythmic slant that enhances the hierarchy of editorial layouts. Its design features lower contrast and sturdier proportions than its display siblings, ensuring that it remains highly legible in print and digital environments. It has become a favored choice for designers seeking a modern classic that balances personality with exceptional readability.
