Edwardian Script ITC Std Regular is an elegant calligraphic typeface designed by the legendary typographer Edward Benguiat in 1994. The font was inspired by the formal, steel-pointed pen handwriting of the early 20th century, characterized by its dramatic flourishes and rhythmic, flowing connections between characters. It stands as a pinnacle of romantic typography, capturing the sophistication and grace of the Edwardian era through its high-contrast strokes and delicate loops.

Because of its intricate detail and sweeping swashes, this font is optimized for display purposes where it can be appreciated at larger sizes. It has become a global standard for luxury branding and formal event stationery, particularly wedding invitations. The digital version maintains the fluid feel of hand-drawn lettering, making it a timeless choice for designers who need to convey prestige, tradition, and an emotional touch in their creative work.
