Elan ITC Std Medium Bold Italic

ITC Elan was designed by the prolific French typeface designer Albert Boton in 1985. The typeface is a masterful blend of classical proportions and contemporary refinement, characterized by its subtle, flared serifs and a large x-height. This particular style, Medium Bold Italic, offers a sophisticated weight that maintains clarity while providing a distinct calligraphic flair, making it stand out in both display and text applications.

The aesthetic of Elan is rooted in the tradition of glyphic serifs, drawing inspiration from stone-carved lettering while incorporating the fluid movement of the pen. Over the years, it has become a staple for designers looking for a typeface that exudes authority without appearing overly rigid. Its unique architecture allows it to function beautifully in high-end branding, editorial design, and prestigious corporate identities.
