Elika Gorica Regular

Elika Gorica Regular is a contemporary interpretation of the classic blackletter or gothic script style. Developed by designer Arwan Sutanto under the Locomotype foundry, this typeface strikes a unique balance between historical calligraphy and modern geometric precision. Unlike traditional Fraktur fonts that can be difficult to read, Elika Gorica features cleaned-up lines and simplified terminals, ensuring that it remains highly legible while retaining its dark, assertive, and medieval aesthetic.

The font is characterized by its sharp angles and sturdy construction, making it a powerful tool for visual communication. It was designed to bridge the gap between ancient manuscript styles and current graphic design trends, particularly in the realms of streetwear, music, and artisanal branding. Its rhythmic vertical strokes provide a textured look on the page, allowing designers to evoke a sense of heritage and edge simultaneously.
