English 111 Vivace Regular

English 111 Vivace Regular is a distinguished member of the Shelley Script family, meticulously designed by the renowned typographer Matthew Carter in 1972 for Linotype. This typeface is inspired by the exquisite penmanship of George Shelley, a celebrated 18th-century British master calligrapher. The Vivace variant is the most flamboyant and decorative weight within the series, characterized by its elaborate flourishes, sweeping ascenders, and graceful descenders that capture the essence of classic Copperplate script.

Renowned for its formal elegance and rhythmic flow, this typeface has become a standard in high-end invitation design and luxury branding. Its intricate hairlines and sophisticated loops provide a sense of historical prestige, making it an ideal choice for traditional wedding stationery, formal certificates, and editorial headings. While deeply rooted in 18th-century aesthetics, the digital version ensures precision and clarity, maintaining its status as a timeless tool for designers seeking a touch of aristocratic flair.
