Escritura Regular

Escritura Regular is a sophisticated typeface designed by Ricardo Santos that draws its primary inspiration from the rich tradition of Renaissance calligraphy. It effectively bridges the gap between formal handwriting and structured digital typography, capturing the rhythmic flow of the broad-nib pen. The design emphasizes clarity and elegance, making it an ideal choice for projects that require a humanistic touch without sacrificing professional readability.

The development of the Escritura family involved a meticulous study of historical chancery hands, resulting in a font characterized by distinctive terminals and a graceful, energetic slant. This balance of organic movement and technical precision allows the typeface to perform exceptionally well in both high-end editorial environments and modern branding identities, where it conveys a sense of craftsmanship and heritage.
