Fedra Serif A Pro Book Italic

Fedra Serif A Pro Book Italic is a distinguished member of the Fedra family, designed by the renowned Peter Biľak for the Typotheque foundry. Originally conceived as a companion to Fedra Sans, it evolved into a highly versatile serif typeface that balances humanistic warmth with modern technical precision. Its design philosophy focuses on legibility across various media, making it an exceptional choice for both high-resolution print and digital screens.

The Book Italic weight offers a sophisticated, rhythmic slant that enhances the texture of continuous text without being overly decorative. As part of the 'Pro' series, it includes an expansive range of OpenType features, such as small caps, multiple numeral styles, and extensive language support for Central and Eastern European languages. Its short ascenders and descenders allow for tighter leading, making it a favorite among editorial designers for dense layouts and literary works.
