Forma DJR Mono Hair Italic

Forma DJR Mono is a revival and expansion of the 1968 typeface Forma, originally created by the Nebiolo foundry's team of consultants under the direction of Aldo Novarese. This monospaced version, meticulously crafted by David Jonathan Ross, retains the sophisticated, neo-grotesque essence of the original while adapting it for the rigid grid of fixed-width typography. The Hair Italic weight represents the absolute minimum thickness in the family, offering an incredibly delicate and refined aesthetic that stands out in high-resolution digital environments.

By stripping away variable width but maintaining the rationalist, industrial spirit of mid-century Italian design, Forma DJR Mono Hair Italic bridges the gap between functional utility and high-fashion elegance. Its slanted form adds a dynamic sense of motion to its otherwise rigid structure, making it a unique choice for designers who require a technical font that doesn't sacrifice personality. It is particularly effective when used at large sizes where its hairline precision can be fully appreciated.
