Forma DJR UI Bold

Forma DJR UI Bold is a sophisticated revival of Aldo Novarese’s 1968 masterpiece, Forma, which was originally created for the Nebiolo foundry. This digital interpretation by David Jonathan Ross captures the original's goal of creating a more human and expressive neo-grotesque alternative to Helvetica. The UI (User Interface) specific optical size is meticulously engineered with tighter spacing and optimized proportions to ensure superior readability on digital screens and within complex interface environments.

The Bold weight of this family offers a striking visual presence without sacrificing the subtle nuances that define the Forma project. By incorporating large apertures and a medium x-height, Forma DJR UI Bold maintains its structural integrity across various resolutions. It serves as a bridge between mid-century Italian modernism and contemporary digital design requirements, making it a versatile tool for designers seeking a balance of character and utility.
