Formular Black

Formular is a contemporary geometric sans-serif typeface family released by the Brownfox type foundry in 2014. Designed by Gayaneh Bagdasaryan and Vyacheslav Kirilenko, the font family bridges the gap between mid-century Swiss design and modern industrial aesthetics. The Black weight is the heaviest in the series, offering a robust and authoritative presence that commands attention through its wide proportions and sharp, precise geometry.

What sets Formular Black apart is its unique combination of rigid mechanical construction and high legibility across both Latin and Cyrillic scripts. It avoids the roundness typically associated with geometric fonts, opting instead for a more squared, technical feel. This makes it an exceptional choice for designers looking for a bold, modern grotesque that feels both timeless and futuristic.
