Frathouse Medium

Frathouse Medium is a quintessential slab-serif display typeface inspired by the traditional block lettering found in North American collegiate and varsity sports. Designed by Ray Larabie, the font captures a sense of athletic tradition and institutional strength through its heavy stems and sharp, geometric serifs. It is specifically crafted to evoke the spirit of university life, teamwork, and competitive energy, making it a staple for designs that require a bold, authoritative presence.

The Medium weight provides a robust balance, ensuring that the character forms remain legible while occupying significant visual space. This weight is particularly effective for heavyweight branding and large-scale applications where the font's structured anatomy can shine. Over the decades, Frathouse has remained a popular choice for designers seeking to bridge the gap between vintage varsity aesthetics and modern digital precision, maintaining its relevance in the world of sports and casual apparel.
