Friz Quadrata Regular Italic

Friz Quadrata Regular Italic is a distinguished glyphic serif typeface originally conceived in 1965 by Swiss designer Ernst Friz. Characterized by its unique flared serifs and slightly open counters, the font family was initially released by the Visual Graphics Corporation (VGC). Over time, the family was expanded by designers like Victor Caruso and Thierry Puyfoulhoux to include various weights and the elegant italic version, which adds a dynamic sense of motion while retaining the font's signature structural integrity.

This typeface has achieved legendary status in the world of graphic design, becoming synonymous with institutional branding and television media. It is famously utilized in the logos of prestigious universities and the long-running television series 'Law & Order'. The Regular Italic variant specifically offers a sophisticated alternative for display settings, blending the classical authority of Roman lapidary inscriptions with a modern, sharp aesthetic suitable for high-end corporate identities.
