Frutiger LT Std 95 UltraBlack Regular

Frutiger LT Std 95 UltraBlack Regular is a pinnacle of humanist sans-serif design, created by the legendary Swiss typeface designer Adrian Frutiger. Originally conceived for the signage of the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris in 1968, the typeface was officially released by Linotype in 1976. It was specifically engineered to offer superior legibility at any distance or angle, avoiding the cold rigidity of geometric fonts by incorporating subtle humanist strokes and open counters.

The 95 UltraBlack weight is the most heavy-set variant in the family, designed for maximum visual gravity and authority. While it possesses an extreme stroke thickness, it retains the structural logic and clarity that made the original Frutiger family a global standard for wayfinding and corporate identity. It is a favorite among typographers for its ability to command attention without sacrificing the sophisticated balance characteristic of Swiss design.
