FSP - Spinat Outline

FSP - Spinat Outline is an integral part of the broader Spinat superfamily, meticulously crafted by the Kostic Type Foundry to bridge the gap between high-end professional typography and casual, hand-drawn aesthetics. Originating from a desire to create a typeface that feels human rather than mechanical, the designers focused on organic silhouettes and soft edges. This outline variant specifically strips away the interior mass of the original weight, emphasizing the structural integrity and the fluid, hand-rendered path of the characters.

Technically, Spinat Outline is characterized by its generous x-height and slightly condensed proportions, which facilitate excellent legibility even in its hollowed-out form. The stroke weight of the outline is carefully calibrated to ensure that the letterforms do not collapse or become visually muddy at medium scales. Its rounded terminals and subtle irregularities in the curves mimic the natural pressure of a felt-tip pen, providing a friendly and approachable personality that maintains a professional rhythmic flow across display applications.
