Futura Condensed Extra Bold

Futura Condensed Extra Bold is a powerful extension of the original Futura typeface, which was designed by Paul Renner and released in 1927 by the Bauer Type Foundry. Built upon the geometric principles of the Bauhaus movement, Futura relies on simple shapes like the circle, square, and triangle. The Condensed Extra Bold weight was specifically engineered to provide maximum visual impact in restricted horizontal spaces, making it one of the most recognizable and authoritative styles in the Futura family.

Throughout its history, this specific weight has become a staple in modernist graphic design and advertising. Its heavy strokes and narrow proportions allow for high-visibility messaging without sacrificing the clean, geometric integrity that defines the Futura legacy. It has been famously utilized by global brands and in cinematic title sequences, solidifying its place as an essential tool for designers seeking a balance between functionalism and bold expression.
