Geograph Black Bold

Geograph Black Bold is a heavy-weight extension of the Geograph family, a geometric sans-serif typeface originally commissioned as a custom face for the National Geographic Society. Designed by the renowned Kris Sowersby, the font was created to provide a modern, versatile, and authoritative typographic identity that could handle the diverse needs of one of the world's most iconic media brands.

The Black Bold variant specifically focuses on maximum visual impact while maintaining the precise geometric proportions that define the family. Characterized by its low contrast and clean lines, it echoes the spirit of early 20th-century geometric designs like Futura, but with refined apertures and spacing optimized for contemporary digital and print environments. It is a powerful tool for designers looking to convey strength and clarity in high-profile editorial and branding projects.
