Geograph Edit Bold

Geograph Edit Bold is a refined geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Kris Sowersby of the Klim Type Foundry. Initially developed as a custom commission for National Geographic, the typeface was engineered to embody the spirit of exploration, accuracy, and global storytelling. The Edit Bold weight offers a robust and authoritative presence, making it an essential tool for high-impact editorial layouts and brand identity systems that require a balance of history and modernity.

Drawing inspiration from mid-century geometric designs, this typeface improves upon its predecessors with adjusted proportions and a larger x-height, which ensures exceptional legibility across both digital platforms and high-resolution print. The Bold iteration is particularly praised for its clean lines and open counters, allowing it to maintain clarity even in dense typographic environments. It has since become a hallmark of contemporary professional typography, favored by designers for its versatility and sophisticated aesthetic.
