Geograph Medium Regular

Geograph Medium Regular is a sophisticated geometric sans-serif typeface designed by the renowned Kris Sowersby of Klim Type Foundry. Originally commissioned as a bespoke typeface for National Geographic, it was developed to provide a unified and modern typographic identity across the brand's diverse media platforms. The design represents a contemporary evolution of the geometric tradition, prioritizing clarity, objectivity, and a distinct professional character.

The typeface is meticulously crafted with balanced proportions and clean, open apertures that ensure high legibility in both print and digital environments. While it takes cues from historical geometric models, it avoids the sterile rigidity often found in the genre by incorporating subtle optical corrections. The Medium Regular weight offers a perfect middle ground, providing enough presence for subheadings while remaining fluid enough for extended editorial passages.
