Geograph Regular

Geograph Regular is a contemporary geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Kris Sowersby of the Klim Type Foundry. Originally commissioned as a bespoke family for National Geographic, the typeface was engineered to be a versatile workhorse that functions across all of the organization's media platforms. It represents a refined evolution of the geometric sans-serif genre, combining the mathematical purity of historical models with modern functional requirements.

The typeface features open counters and a generous x-height, which ensures exceptional legibility in both print and digital environments. Geograph Regular strikes a perfect balance between editorial clarity and a distinct brand personality, making it suitable for everything from dense body text to striking headlines. Its design nuances provide a more humanistic and approachable feel than traditional mid-century geometric fonts, ensuring it remains relevant for global communication.
