Georgia Pro Cond Light Italic

Georgia Pro Cond Light Italic is a sophisticated expansion of the classic Georgia typeface, originally designed by the legendary Matthew Carter for Microsoft. Developed to improve upon the screen-legibility of the original 1996 release, the Pro version was refined by Monotype to include a wider range of weights and widths. This condensed light italic variant offers a graceful, slender profile that maintains the high x-height and open counters that made the original Georgia a staple of digital typography.

The Light Italic weight in a condensed width is particularly effective for high-end editorial layouts and complex typographic hierarchies. It provides a distinct, elegant slant that contrasts beautifully with heavier weights, making it ideal for pull-quotes, captions, and specialized headings. As part of the Pro family, it features an expanded character set and professional-grade OpenType features, ensuring it meets the demands of modern print and web design projects.
