Gill Sans Nova Book Regular

Gill Sans Nova Book Regular is a sophisticated expansion of the original Gill Sans typeface, which was first designed by Eric Gill in 1928 for Monotype. Influenced by Edward Johnston’s iconic London Underground lettering, Gill Sans became a hallmark of British design, famously used by the BBC and LNER. The Nova version was released in 2015 to refine the classic proportions and add modern character support, keeping the spirit of the original humanist sans-serif while making it suitable for modern high-resolution displays.

The Book Regular weight is specifically optimized for text-heavy applications, offering a balance between the lighter weights and the standard medium. It maintains the unique 'double-story' lowercase 'a' and 'g' that define the typeface's humanist character. This particular weight is highly regarded for its clarity and elegance, making it a preferred choice for designers who require a font that feels both historical and timelessly modern.
