Gotham Narrow XLight Italic

Gotham Narrow XLight Italic is a sophisticated extension of the iconic Gotham typeface family, originally inspired by the architectural and industrial signage found throughout New York City. Designed by Tobias Frere-Jones, this narrow variant was developed to address the need for a space-efficient font that retains the honest, geometric integrity of the original design. The Extra Light weight provides a delicate and ethereal presence, making it one of the most elegant members of the collection.

The italic version introduces a subtle sense of rhythm and movement to the structured geometric forms. By reducing the width of the characters without sacrificing legibility, Gotham Narrow XLight Italic excels in environments where horizontal space is limited but a premium, modern aesthetic is required. It is widely recognized for its clean lines and professional demeanor, making it a staple for high-end corporate identities and editorial layouts.
