GT Super Ds Bd It Regular

GT Super Ds Bd It Regular is a sophisticated display serif typeface that serves as a cornerstone of the GT Super family, released by the Swiss foundry Grilli Type. Designed by Noel Leu with contributions from Mirco Schiavone and Reto Moser, the font is the result of extensive historical research into the serif designs of the 1970s and 80s. It draws inspiration from influential faces like Times Modern and Trooper Roman, capturing the expressive, high-contrast aesthetics that defined the transition from phototypesetting to the digital era.

The Display Bold Italic weight is specifically engineered for high-impact usage at large scales. It features razor-sharp serifs and a dramatic thick-to-thin stroke ratio that exudes luxury and authority. The italicized form adds a sense of fluid motion and calligraphic elegance, making it an exceptional choice for editorial headlines, fashion branding, and premium packaging where a balance of retro charm and contemporary precision is required.
