GT Super Ds Md Regular

GT Super Ds Md Regular is a central component of the GT Super family, meticulously crafted by Noël Leu and released through the Swiss foundry Grilli Type. The typeface is the result of an extensive investigation into the serif designs of the 1970s and 80s, specifically focusing on the expressive and high-contrast aesthetics often found in editorial typography of that period. It serves as a modern homage to the expressive nature of fonts like Super Antiqua and the sharp, authoritative presence of 20th-century newspaper typefaces.

As part of the 'Display' (Ds) sub-family, GT Super Ds Md Regular is specifically optimized for large-scale applications where its intricate details and sharp terminals can shine. The 'Md' (Medium) weight provides a robust yet elegant visual density, offering more presence than a light weight while maintaining a more refined profile than a bold. This makes it an exceptional choice for designers looking to bridge the gap between classic editorial elegance and contemporary digital clarity.
