GT Super Ds Su Regular

GT Super is the result of an extensive investigation into serif typefaces from the 1970s and 80s. Designed by Noël Leu and released through the Swiss foundry Grilli Type, the typeface draws inspiration from the display and text fonts of that era, specifically those that followed the tradition of Times New Roman while adding a contemporary, sharp flair. It manages to bridge the gap between historical weight distribution and modern digital precision.

The Display Super (Ds Su) variant specifically focuses on expressive, high-contrast letterforms intended for large-scale use. It captures the idiosyncratic nature of phototypesetting and early digital type, emphasizing sharp serifs and dramatic transitions. It has become a staple in modern editorial design, providing a sophisticated yet bold aesthetic for high-end branding and print media.
