Guggenheim Sans Bold Italic

Guggenheim Sans Bold Italic is a bespoke typeface commissioned for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum as part of its comprehensive visual identity system. Designed by Abbott Miller and his team at the renowned design agency Pentagram, the font is rooted in the geometric forms and modernist spirit that characterize Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpiece. The typeface serves as a bridge between the institution's historical significance and its contemporary global presence.

The Bold Italic weight and style introduce a sense of dynamic motion and sophisticated urgency to the typeface family. While maintaining the clean, open proportions of a geometric sans-serif, the slant adds an editorial flair that is both elegant and authoritative. It is specifically engineered to perform across diverse media, from high-resolution museum catalogs to digital interfaces, ensuring that the Guggenheim brand remains cohesive and visually striking.
