HBO Family Normal

The HBO Family Normal font is a bespoke geometric sans-serif typeface designed specifically for the branding and on-air identity of the HBO Family television network. It was developed to convey a sense of accessibility, modernity, and friendliness, aligning with the channel's target audience of children and families. The typeface is characterized by its clean lines and open apertures, ensuring high legibility across various broadcast resolutions and digital platforms.

Throughout its history, the font has been instrumental in maintaining a cohesive brand image for the network. Its design draws inspiration from classic geometric types like ITC Avant Garde Gothic, but it incorporates softer nuances to make it feel less corporate and more inviting. It remains a staple for on-screen lower thirds, promotional bumpers, and print marketing materials associated with the premium cable brand.
