Hillman MN Normal

Hillman is a distinctive serif typeface originally designed by Michael Neugebauer for the Mecanorma collection. It draws significant inspiration from classic Victorian and Edwardian wood type styles, characterized by its high contrast, elegant curves, and sharp, refined serifs. It successfully bridges the gap between traditional formal typography and more expressive display lettering, making it a favorite for projects that require a touch of historical sophistication and authoritative presence.

Over the years, Hillman MN Normal has been recognized for its rhythmic spacing and perfectly balanced letterforms. It is particularly effective in larger display sizes where its intricate details and unique character shapes can truly shine. While it retains a strong vintage charm, its clean execution allows it to function flawlessly in modern contexts, especially within the luxury, fashion, and editorial industries where a refined, classic aesthetic is paramount to the brand identity.
