ITC Avant Garde Gothic Pro Bold Regular

ITC Avant Garde Gothic Pro Bold Regular is a cornerstone of modernist typography, originally conceived from the logo of Avant Garde magazine. Designed by the legendary Herb Lubalin and Tom Carnase in 1970, this typeface is the quintessential geometric sans-serif, built upon the pure shapes of the circle and the square. Its distinctive aesthetic is defined by its massive x-height and tight kerning, which revolutionized editorial design in the late 20th century.

The Bold Regular weight within the Pro family offers a robust and commanding presence that is both timeless and sophisticated. This version is particularly valued for its extensive character set and OpenType features, allowing designers to utilize the iconic ligatures that made the original design so famous. It remains a top choice for brands looking to convey a sense of structural integrity, clarity, and avant-garde style.
